# How to create social media posts with AI?

> Select Create new, then Social post, and pick a mode. Share your idea and hook, add an image, and review the draft. Then publish or schedule it to your connected accounts, with the length checked for each platform.

## Start a social post

1. Select **Create new** in the left navigation.
2. Choose **Social post**.
3. Pick a mode.

## Build the post step by step

**Step-by-Step** has five steps: **Start**, **Topic**, **Hook**, **Image** and **Review**. Pick a topic, choose the first line, add an image, and check your settings before AI writes the draft.

## Check the post before you publish

The publish window shows a preview and checks each platform for you. If something does not fit, it lists what to fix. For example, X posts must be 280 characters or fewer, and Instagram needs an image. See [the platform limits](https://docs.selljam.ai/reference/platform-limits-and-requirements.md).

## Publish, schedule, copy or export

- **Publish now** sends the post to the profiles you pick.
- **Schedule post** sets a date and time.
- You can also copy the text, export it as Markdown or text, or send it to a webhook.

## What it costs

A social draft costs about 15 credits. Publishing costs 5 credits for each profile. Publishing to X costs 25 credits.

## Common questions

### Which platforms can I post to?

X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, Bluesky, Threads and Google Business Profile.

### Can I add more than one image?

At the moment, each post can have only one image. Soon carousels and multiple images will be available.

### Can one post go to several platforms?

Yes. Select all your connected profiles in the publish window.
